In the world of retail, the shopping experience is everything. Ikea’s megastore in Perth, Western Australia had issues surrounding their concrete being difficult to clean and therefore unsightly. Noroo’s Water Based Urethane system was the ideal solution. After surface preparation the coating system used a clear water based epoxy primer to ensure adhesion to the substrate and then two coats of Noroo Water Based Urethane tinted to Ash Grey colour. The use of low V.O.C, low odour products allowed the store to remain open at all times without the unwanted odour of some solvent borne alternatives. The surface is now easier to clean and will remain aesthetically beautiful for years to come. This project is a testament to our dedication to elevating retail spaces, inside and out. This IKEA store isn’t just a place to shop; it’s a testament to the efficacy of water based products in high traffic and external locations.
